Fisher and Paykel Washing Machine No Tap Error – Water Inlet Error
Description:
Fisher and Paykel washing machine no tap error indicates that the washing machine has not filled up to a set water level with in 8 minutes. This could be as simple as a closed tap, kinked hose or a blocked mesh filter in the hose or at the back if the water inlet valve. If you check the things mentioned before and your Fisher and Paykel washing machine No Tap error still appears, this points to a faulty water inlet valve. No tap error is a fairly common Fisher and Paykel washing machine error codes due to people forgetting to open the tap before using the machine.
Action To Take:
- Make sure tap is open.
- Check that the hose is not kinked.
- Inspect mesh filter for sand.
- Replace water inlet valve.
Fisher and Paykel Washing Machine E7:00 Error – Motor Error
Description:
Fisher and Paykel washing machine E7:00 error is a motor error. E7 indicates that the motor speed is out of sync with the motor control module. Best way to find out if it is the motor or the motor control module that is at fault is by measuring the resistance between all 3 phases of the motor. It is best to measure from the plug on the motor control module. The motor resistance from the plug on the motor control module should be around 28 ohms between all 3 phases.
Action To Take:
- Check for free drum rotation.
- Measure resistance between motor phases.
- Replace motor control module.
Fisher and Paykel Washing Machine E7:01 Error – Motor Stall Error
Description:
Fisher and Paykel washing machine E7:01 error indicates that the motor control module was not able to rotate the motor. E7:01 is often caused by foreign items or clothes that are stuck under the drum jamming it. In some cases Fisher and Paykel washing machine E7:01 error can also be cause be seized up bearings.
Action To Take:
- Check for free drum rotation. Remove foreign objects/replace bearings.
- Measure resistance between motor phases. 28 ohms from plug on motor control module between all 3 phases.
- Replace motor control module.
Fisher and Paykel Washing Machine E7:02 Error – Motor Loss of Phase Error
Description:
Fisher and Paykel washing machine E7:02 error indicates that one of the phases on the motor is open circuit. It is best to measure the resistance of the motor phases straight from the plug on the motor control module. If one of the phases is found to be open circuit, remove the motor and measure the motor windings directly on the motor. Fisher and Paykel washing machine E07:02 is a fairly straightforward and easy error to solve.
Action To Take:
- Check for free drum rotation. Remove foreign objects/replace bearings.
- Measure resistance between motor phases. 28 ohms from plug on motor control module between all 3 phases.
- Replace motor control module.
Fisher and Paykel Washing Machine E7:03 Error – Motor Over Current Error
Description:
Fisher and Paykel washing machine E7:03 error indicates that the motor is drawing too much current from the motor control module. Firstly check that the washing machine is not overloaded and that the drum is not jammed up.
Next, disconnect the motor harness plug from the motor control module and measure the resistance between all 3 phases of the motor. If the drum is not jammed and the motor checks out ok it will be the motor control module responsible for the Fisher and Paykel washing machine e7:03.
Action To Take:
- Check for free drum rotation. Remove foreign objects if drum is jammed.
- Measure resistance between motor phases. 28 ohms from plug on motor control module between all 3 phases. Replace motor if not with in range.
- Replace motor control module.
Fisher and Paykel Washing Machine E7:04 Error – Motor Current Sensor Error
Description:
Fisher and Paykel washing machine E7:04 indicates that the current sensing circuit on the motor control module has failed. Before replacing the motor control module, measure the resistance between all 3 phases of the motor.
Action To Take:
- Measure resistance between motor phases. 28 ohms from plug on motor control module between all 3 phases.
- Replace motor control module.
Fisher and Paykel Washing Machine E7:06 Error – Motor Brown Out Error
Description:
Fisher and Paykel washing machine E7:06 indicates that the supply voltage to the motor control board has dropped below operating voltage. Measure supply voltage. Operating voltage is 174-264V AC.
If supply voltage is with in range, try to unplug the machine from power point for 2 min and try again. Next step is to replace the motor control module.
Action To Take:
- Measure supply voltage to machine, should be 174-264VAC.
- Unplug machine from powerpoint for few min and try to use it again.
- Replace motor control module.
Fisher and Paykel Washing Machine Err 10 Error – Temperature Sensor Error
Description:
Fisher and Paykel washing machine Err 10 error is a temperature sensor fault. Err 10 indicates that the temperature sensor circuit is open. Start by measuring the temperature sensor resistance with a multimeter, at 25 degrees celsius the resistance of the temperature sensor should be around 13K ohm. If the temp sensor checks out ok, inspect the wiring from control module to temp sensor for breakage and measure the continuity of the wires. If Fisher and Paykel washing machine Err 10 error is still present after these checks, it will be the main control module that has failed.
Action To Take:
- Check for loose connections/broken wires.
- Measure resistance of temp sensor. It should be between 13K ohms at 25C. Replace if out of range.
- Replace main PCB.
Fisher and Paykel Washing Machine Err 12 Error – Water Overfill Error
Description:
Fisher and Paykel washing machine Err 12 error indicates that the water level has reached a overfill lever and the alarm has been activated. Err 12 mostly appears if one of the water inlet valves/solenoids is stuck open continuously and lets in too much water. If there is no water in the drum and the Err 12 is on the display, it could be a faulty water level sensor giving a false reading to the main PCB.
Action To Take:
- Check inlet valves for correct operation, replace if faulty.
- Measure resistance of pressure sensor. It should be between 10-15 ohms. Replace if out of range.
- Replace main PCB.
Fisher and Paykel Washing Machine Err 37 Error – Draining Error
Description:
Fisher and Paykel washing machine Err 37 error is a general draining error. Err 37 indicates that the main control module has detected that the water level has not decreased during the draining phase of the cycle. Very often this error is caused by a blocked drain pump filter, make sure to start here first. If the machine has drained all the water and your Fisher and Paykel washing machine err 37 error is still present, it could be a faulty pressure sensor that is sending a false signal to the main PCB. Measure the resistance of the pressure sensor, it should be between 10 and 15 ohms.
Action To Take:
- Check drain pump filter for blockages.
- Inspect drain hose for kinks/blockages.
- Measure resistance drain pump motor windings.
- Replace Drain pump.
Fisher and Paykel Washing Machine Err 74 Error – Pressure Sensor Error
Description:
Fisher and Paykel washing machine Err 74 error points to a problem with the pressure sensor. Firstly inspect the wiring harness for loose plugs or broken wires. Measure the resistance of the pressure sensor, it should be between 10 and 15 ohms and replace it if it is out of range. If all fails, replace the main PCB module.
Action To Take:
- Check for loose connections/broken wires.
- Measure resistance of pressure sensor. It should be between 10-15 ohms. Replace if out of range.
- Replace main PCB.
Fisher and Paykel Washing Machine Err 75 Error – Heating Error
Description:
Fisher and Paykel washing machine Err 75 error indicates that the washing machine was not able to heat the water to the set temperature.
This usually is caused by a faulty heating element. Start by checking the resistance value of the heater, it should be around 30 ohms +/-10%.
If the heating element resistance is with in range, inspect the wiring harness for broken wires and measure the continuity of wires from the main PCB to the heater.
Next, check that the temperature sensor responds to change of temperature. Measure resistance of the temperature sensor at room temperature, then pour hot water into the drum and see if the temperature sensor reacts and changes resistance.
If all the above tests are all ok, replace the main control module. Heating elements can fail fairly often and because of this Err 75 is one of the fairly common Fisher and Paykel washing machine error codes.
Action To Take:
- Measure resistance of heater.
- Inspect wiring harness for broken wires/measure continuity.
- Check temp sensor.
- Replace main PCB.
