Thinking of replacing drain pump on Bosch dishwasher because your dishwasher is not draining water? And you have checked for blockages and non were found. In this case, most likely cause would be a failed drain pump. Replacing drain pump on Bosch dishwasher is very easy.
We have made a step by step guide “How to replace drain pump on a Bosch dishwasher”.
Bosch dishwasher E23 fault and Bosch dishwasher E25 fault are associated with a faulty or jammed drain pump.
Step 1 – Remove all water from the sump of dishwasher
Before you begin, pull out the power plug from the power point and remove all the water from the dishwasher with a sponge or towel. If this is not done, as soon as the pump is removed water will flood the base of the dishwasher wetting all other electric components of the dishwasher.
Step 2 – Remove the front door panel
Remove the outer door panel by removing the 3 screws on each side of the door. Once the screws are removed, close the door and pull on the door from bottom corners to remove the front panel.
Step 3 – Remove the base/decorative panel
After you remove the front door panel, the decorative base/panel can be removed.
The underside of the base panel is secured with 2 catches.
1. Insert a screwdriver into the guides (1) and remove the catch
mechanism downwards.
2. Remove panel upwards.
Step 4 – Remove base plate
You are nearly there, only 2 more screws to go and you will see the drain pump.
- Unscrew the 2 torx screws.
- Lever the base plate out of the catches and remove it.
Step 4 – Remove drain pump
By this stage you will have easy view and access to the drain pump.
- Remove power plug.
- Press and hold the pump retaining clip.
- Rotate the drain pump clockwise.
- Remove the pump forward out of the sump.
